About SEA LIFE 

SEA LIFE Ocean World in Bangkok is the largest aquarium in South East Asia. Formerly known as Siam Ocean World, this marquee aquarium boasts hundreds of different species on display. While SEA LIFE Bangkok is mainly about entertainment, the riveting display counts towards an inspiring educational experience as well. The self-proclaimed objective of the organization is to inspire all visitors to care for and have an active interest in protecting the marine life. 

Since educating the public as at the heart of SEA LIFE Bangkok’s goals, they provide interactive educational programs for institutions and the general public. The Ocean School offers a scintillating learning experience by taking learners on an aquatic journey where patrons can learn everything there is to know about the marine world around us!  

General Information

Located in the heart of Bangkok City, SEA LIFE Bangkok sits in Siam Paragon Mall. In one of the busiest districts in Bangkok, always plan ahead of time to get a full SEA LIFE experience. The aquarium carries a total tank volume of 5,000,000 liters and spans over 10,000 square meters. The location was first opened on the 9th of December 2005 and was called Siam Ocean World at the time. The aquarium has some of the most enthralling exhibits the mind can imagine, including Giant Spider Crabs, Giant Pacific Octopus, Stingray Sharks, African Penguins, and Starfishes. 

The location is open and welcome to everyone. However, it is essential to note that SEA LIFE Bangkok practices dual pricing where Thai nationals are charged around half the fee that foreigners would be charged to enter. 

How to get there

Bangkok’s luscious public transport means you’re sure to get to SEA LIFE Bangkok without breaking a sweat. SEA LIFE Bangkok is a new aquarium in the heart of Bangkok. It is conveniently located in Siam Paragon Shopping Mall, easily accessible by car or public transport.

  1. Sky Train: Take the BTS Sky Train to Siam Station
  2. Bus: Take the bus number 26 to Siam Paragon (you might need to take another bus from your location and transfer to 26 if 26 doesn’t stop near you)
  3. Car: Drive to the following address- B1-B2 floor. Siam Paragon Shopping Centre, 991 Rama 1 Road, Pathumwan Bangkok 10330
  4. Cab: Hail a taxi or use the Grab app

Facilities

SEA LIFE Bangkok offers some of the most breathtaking adventures. Do not miss the Rainforest Adventure, where you can get up close to many new species such as the leopard tortoise, bearded dragon, python snake, and many more! Also, enjoy the Archerfish feeding show where these fish will be eyeing their prey above the water surface and do not miss the Amazon River monsters.

Another breathtaking facility is the Penguin Ice Playground, where you can make a quick trip to the icy Antarctic without taking a flight. Check out the ever so cute waddling penguins and fall in love by petting them. Make sure to prepare yourself to fight the cold and throw on a jacket!

Stop by the Makita and discover the only large-tooth sawfish in Thailand. Despite its seemingly predatory exterior, the sawfish is a gentle and loving creature that loves to entertain. Take a lesson out of the aquarium’s book and make sure to never judge a book by its cover.

Do not miss the iconic underwater tunnel where you’ll find all kinds of species swimming above and beside you. The surreal blue will draw and hold your attention to some of the most beautiful creatures nature has to offer. Be careful not to bump into a glass fixture as you’re mesmerized by the Broadway spectacle on display!

Make sure to swing by the diver’s selfie zone. A fan favorite, everyone enjoys taking selfies from the outside with divers in the tank. You are sure to be impressed as you watch divers drop themselves 7 meters down to feed the sea life. 

Finally, spend some time at the shark walk. Test your adventure and adrenaline meter by walking amongst some of the deadliest catches alive while learning all about them. The key to enjoying the shark walk is to ensure that you find the perfect balance between adventure and education.
